In Washington, DC the flowers are beginning to bloom and people are back on the streets as the 2021 World Bank and IMF Spring Meetings are set to begin.

With Covid-19 vaccinations building speed there are signs that the worst of the economic crisis may be past.

IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva will lay out the main themes, risks and opportunities she sees in a speech to the Council on Foreign Relations Tuesday, March 30th to unofficially launch the Meetings.

The IMF will unveil its latest forecast for global growth on Tuesday, April 6th, followed by a week of virtual meetings and events for its 190-country membership and the public.
